Resource classes are for students with disabilities who are accessing grade level curriculum and receive specially designed instruction per their IEP (Individualized Education Program). Students accessing a resource setting require direct explicit instruction based on the student’s disability and how it impacts their learning. Resource teachers utilize general education instructional resources such as: curriculum guides, and text books and other ancillary instructional materials to provide specially designed instruction required in the student’s IEP.
