Lone Star Student Earns Spot Among 2025 National Math Stars

Keller ISD is proud to celebrate Lone Star Elementary third grader Jian Song for recently being selected as one of only 102 students nationwide for the 2025 National Math Stars Program. 

Jian earned this honor after standing out in a highly competitive process through the Voyager Stars Program. More than 6,000 of the nation’s top third-grade math students began the application journey, completing several rounds of challenging assessments before the final group of 102 students was selected.

The National Math Stars program is a 10-year, fully funded initiative designed to identify and support exceptional young math scholars from third grade through high school. Students in the program receive access to more than $100,000 in resources and opportunities – including advanced math enrichment, summer camps, competitions, family advising, and a nationwide network of mentors and peers.

In addition to Jian, Keller ISD is excited to share that National Math Stars has also welcomed four additional Keller ISD students into the newly launched Pathfinder Stars Program:

• Arth Bhandari, Bear Creek Intermediate
• Isaac Fernandes, Independence Elementary 
• Sloane Mulhollen, Lone Star Elementary 
• Lee Huynh, Parkview Elementary
